FAQ

This paint is based on natural slaked lime, mineral additives, and pigments. It creates a breathable, matte coating with unique depth.
For mineral plasters (lime, cement-lime, gypsum), plasters, concrete, brick, plasterboards and traditional paints after appropriate priming.
Natural – 100% mineral, no synthetic additives or VOCs.
Vapor permeability – allows the walls to “breathe”, regulates the humidity in the room.
Antibacterial – high pH limits the growth of mold and fungi.
Durability – over time it patinas, gaining a noble appearance.
Aesthetics – gives a matte, deep finish with subtle shading.
Ecology – friendly to health and the environment.
No – it is a natural mineral paint that does not create a tight coating like latex or acrylic.
In places particularly exposed to dirt and water (e.g. kitchen, bathroom), we recommend using our ecological waterproof impregnation AquaProtect.
Paint coverage is approximately 15m2/litre with one coat.
We recommend at least 2 coats of paint, with lighter colours 3 coats may be needed.
This is a natural effect of lime and its carbonation – the color stabilizes over time.
This is normal – freshly applied lime paint looks significantly darker when wet than it will once dry. As the water evaporates and the lime reacts with air (carbonation), the color lightens and acquires its true shade.
Yes, our paints are 100% ecological, without synthetic binders, solvents and toxic additives.
It's best to use a brush, using irregular, crisscrossing movements. This technique allows you to achieve the natural shading and depth of color characteristic of limestone paints.
This is normal – fresh lime paint still has loose particles on the surface. The lime needs to "settle" and bond with the substrate (carbonation). After a few days and with subsequent coats, the powdery effect disappears. Additionally, you can apply our protective AquaProtect impregnation.
Yes – it does not contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or synthetic resins, and the high pH naturally limits the growth of mold and bacteria.
No, you'll achieve the best results after applying 2-3 thin coats. Lime paint works differently than acrylic paints – it's the application process and the reaction of the lime that gives it depth.
In its natural form, it is vapor-permeable, but requires impregnation in areas exposed to splashes (e.g., bathrooms). We recommend using our AquaPortect waterproof impregnation for lime paints in areas exposed to splashes.
Yes, our mineral-casein primer will improve adhesion and even out absorbency.
